The Intervention
The scene starts with the character Mary Anne returning home with groceries and finding her step-daughter Charlie kissing a girl in her bedroom. Outraged at the scene, Mary Anne flies off the handle and kicks Charlie's girlfriend out, refusing to accept same-sex relationships in her household. As tensions rise, Mary Anne's boyfriend, Steve, suggests that Charlie needs a real man to solve her "issues.
" An intervention unfolds where Mary Anne demands proof of Charlie's sexuality and insists that Steve sleep with her daughter to test her orientation. Eventually, Charlie complies reluctantly, engaging in a heated sexual encounter. Fallout follows as Charlie asserts her identity and storms out after expressing her disgust at her mother.
