Seen Not Heard: An Alexis Fawx Story

Anna is facing a crisis in her hospital room, lost in her thoughts, surrounded by shadows. She contemplates the darkness within which monsters are both born and made. These monsters, typically grotesque and terrifying in nature, represent our deepest fears. Suddenly, we flash back to a memory from Anna's youth, where a man introduces perverse games with a blindfold and sweet treats. Fast forward to the present, Anna is overwhelmed with emotions as a young male orderly calms and reassures her. The next morning, Anna is confronted by a vision of her younger self, urging her on for a doctor's appointment. While in the doctor's office, she is haunted by memories of being silenced and diminished in her youth. As the doctor assesses her, Anna starts unraveling, repeating the mantra of being seen and not heard. The past intertwines with the present, driving Anna towards a burst of hysteria. Eventually, the orderly comes to take her away as the younger Anna looks on mischievously. Later at night, the orderly tries to comfort Anna with a meal, only to engage with the younger version of Anna present in the room. With provocative whispers and seductive gestures, the young Anna takes control, surprising the orderly with an intimate act. The older Anna watches in disbelief, questioning the reality of the situation. Unveiling a tale of past wounds and desires, Anna's journey takes unexpected turns that blur the lines between memory and reality.
