Succubus - Part 3

Flooded with concern about the whereabouts of Michael, Mary (Jane Wilde) prays fervently at the church for his safe return. Pastor Tommy (Tommy Pistol) enters to check on her well-being. Observing her ongoing distress, Tommy once again consoles Mary to find tranquility amid the uncertainty. However, Mary remains steadfast in her belief that Michael would never abandon her abruptly. Sitting beside Mary, Tommy expresses apparent empathy, acknowledging the unbalancing effect a situation like this may have on her thoughts. Mary, however, stands her ground, sensing peculiar behavior among the townspeople. Inquisitive, Tommy kindles a discussion about Mary's decision to depart from her kin and marry in this particular town. Mary discloses that they sought a change of scenery per se. Tommy, though, detects a concealed truth within Mary. He maintains that her confiding in him is crucial if she desires his aid. Reluctant at first, Mary confesses to Tommy about her pregnancy. Tommy grins and delves into probing about the circumstances surrounding the conception. Perplexed by how this dialogue could be beneficial, Mary expresses genuine bewilderment. Quietly, Tommy implies that if she succumbed to temptation, then inevitably, so did Michael Indeed, he may not be returning. Mary must come to terms with this possibility, accepting perhaps that his departure resulted from her own moral lapse. Overwhelmed by conflicting emotions, Mary reveals her overwhelming confusion and displays an unrelenting desire to evade her present state. Tommy seizes upon an opportunity, exhibiting a comforting touch on Mary's leg while claiming he can guide her. Mary had declared her readiness to engage in any course of action for redemption - now challenged with a confrontation, her true limits are put to the test.
