Point of Entry
At an entry checkpoint on the US-Mexico border, a car comes to a halt in line with other vehicles waiting to cross. As a seller moves among the parked cars, a heterosexual couple sits and waits for their turn to pass through. Cindy, a lively American college student, surprises her boyfriend, Matthew, with a birthday trip to Mexico.
While remembering their weekend getaway, a man in a uniform knocks on their car window, prompting Cindy and Matthew to follow him for routine questioning. Inside the interrogation room, tense moments arise as Cindy is searched and illegal substances are found in her possession. Faced with the evidence, Matthew is shocked but remains skeptical, suspecting foul play from the officers.
Cindy's emotional turmoil and moments of distress lead to a private conversation between her and the law enforcement agents. Meanwhile, the discovery of more illegal substances connected to their vehicle intensifies the situation for Matthew. Pressured into a body search, Matthew protests and questions the motives behind the search.
The officers emphasize the seriousness of smuggling activity and the need to conduct thorough investigations. Resigned, Matthew complies with the demanding search, his thoughts consumed by the shocking revelation of Cindy's involvement.
