Stooping To Her Level

Heidi's over at her mom's place when Janice corners her about Tara. Her stepsister's planning to bolt and Janice figures Tara's too wild to make it on her own. Heidi's always been the reliable one, so Janice begs her to take Tara in. Heidi sighs but nods. Maybe it'll be like old times—two sisters under one roof, cracking jokes and staying up late. Weeks later the joke's wearing thin. Tara rolls in at dawn smelling like trouble, ignores every rule, and leaves dishes and bras everywhere. One night Heidi finally snaps and waits up. Tara staggers in, ready to bolt past her, but Heidi blocks the hallway. Tara laughs in her face. "You hate being the perfect little rule-book, don't you? Admit it—you're jealous I get to fuck whoever I want." The words sting because they're true. Heidi's protests about "bad decisions" and "being promiscuous" sound weak even to her own ears. Tara leans close, voice low and cocky. "If you're so worried I'll go out and screw strangers, why don't you just fuck me instead?" Heidi's breath catches.
