Seller's Remorse

Angela's ready to tear Brody a new one. She knows he's been screwing around and he's got the balls to stand there acting innocent. Brody's spinning the same lame excuse—Angela's the only one for him. She laughs right in his face. Actions beat words every time, and his action was cheating. Before they can tear into each other again, tires crunch outside. Brody bolts out the door alone. Rick's behind the wheel, already grinning because he heard Brody messed up. This is Rick's favorite move—stepping in whenever Brody fucks one of his girls over. Brody tells him to fuck off. Angela's different, he swears. She's the one he wants forever. Rick calls bullshit. If she's really the one, why does Brody keep pulling the same shit with every girlfriend? They're still trading insults when Angela steps onto the porch. She asks who the stranger is. Brody scrambles, saying Rick wants to buy their old bed. Angela buys it and waves Rick inside. Once they're in the bedroom, Brody keeps up the act, showing off the mattress like it's nothing. Rick starts sweet-talking Angela, and she doesn't stop him. In fact, she likes the attention. Brody tries to hustle her out so he can close the deal alone, but Rick points out Angela co-owns the bed. She should stay. That digs at her—Brody's still trying to call shots after what he did. So she stays. Rick says he needs to test the bed first. Angela catches the real meaning and decides payback sounds good. She drops onto the mattress and pats the spot next to her. Rick lies down, and Angela stretches out, rolling her hips, arching her back, putting on a show while Brody watches, jaw clenched. He finally barks, asking if Rick's buying or not. Rick says Brody's attitude is killing the vibe. Angela agrees and tells Brody to get the hell out of his own house.
