When Lauren Phillips stops by to check in on her neighbor Erica Cherry, who recently lost her spouse, she is taken aback by Erica's apparent lack of grief. It comes to light that Erica's deceased wealthy partner was actually her benefactor. While Erica does feel the absence of her companion, their arrangement was mutually acknowledged.

Now financially secured and approved by her late partner, Erica intends to continue enjoying a lavish lifestyle. And given her partner's blessing, Erica is eager to explore relationships with other women once more. Although initially caught off guard when Erica makes romantic advances, Lauren gradually warms up to the idea.
